I often get asked which is better, private training
or group classes. Each has it benefits, it really
depends on what you are looking for and the time you
have available.
The Benefits of In-Home
Training
Our
lives can be very busy making it hard to commit to a
training class every week at a specific time. With private
sessions you can plan the sessions around your schedule.
Evenings and weekend appointments are available.
Private training sessions can be customized to what
you want your dog to learn. You decide what is taught
in each session whether it is basic behavior exercises,
off leash training, correcting or preventing unwanted
behavior.
You and your dog will be able to work at your own pace.
People and their dogs sometimes struggle in a group
class because the pace is too fast, too slow or the
environment is too distracting to concentrate. You can
accelerate your success by getting personalized attention
in a quiet, familiar setting.
If your dog does not do well around strangers or other
dogs, training is critical, but group classes may be
too stressful. We can help your dog to relax, gain confidence
and focus on training rather than what is going on in
a class.
Puppies can begin training as early as 8 weeks old.
With private sessions you do not have to wait until
your puppy has completed all of his vaccinations.
