Training should be a fun experience that motivates
both you and your dog. Dogs are constantly learning,
and it is up to you to make sure that your dog is
learning the right things. In these classes you will
learn an effective and fun way to communicate with
your dog in order to teach the behaviors that you
want.
PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
Your puppy will make new friends and develop social
skills and manners. Topics we will covered include:
Developing an exercise plan to meet your puppy's needs,
social skills with people and other puppies, sit,
down, come, stay, walking on loose lead, bite inhibition,
teaching your puppy to be happy being handled and
examined, and greeting people without jumping. Playtime
for compatible puppies. For puppies 3-6 months and
small friendly older dogs
BEGINNER CLASS
In this class we will teach the basic skills: Sit,
down, recall, stay, leave it, heel, etc. We will also
cover basic manners and common behavior problems like
jumping, digging, barking, chewing, etc. For dogs
6 months or older.
INTERMEDIATE CLASS
In this class we will improve on the basic skills
with an emphasis on off leash and distance exercises.
This class will also prepare your dog for the AKC
Canine Good Citizen test.
GROUP CLASS INFORMATION
The first night for the puppy and beginning class
is an orientation class without the dogs. Attendance
the first night is required.
Proof of vaccination is required on the first night.
Handler must be at least 12 years old. (exceptions
may be made after meeting)
Bring your dog on a flat regular collar and a 6 ft
nylon or leather leash. Gentle Leaders, Halti’s
or no pull harnesses are acceptable. No retractable
leashes, choke chains or pinch collars allowed.
You will need small pea size soft treats.
